At Marble, our goal has always been to make building and managing content fast, simple, and scalable — without the headaches of traditional CMS infrastructure. To achieve that, we rely on tools that align with our philosophy of simplicity and performance. That’s why we’re excited to share our partnership with Upstash.
Who is Upstash
Upstash offers serverless data platforms designed for modern applications. Their services including Upstash Redis and Upstash QStash — make it easy to add caching, rate limiting, queues, and messaging systems without worrying about infrastructure, scaling, or cold starts. Everything is pay-per-use, built for the edge, and developer-friendly.
The Partnership
Our partnership with Upstash began through their Open Source Sponsorship Program, which supports projects building useful, community-driven software. Through this collaboration, we integrated QStash into Marble to power our webhook system.
The Upstash team also featured our integration in a detailed blog post, where they explained how QStash can be used to build resilient webhook systems like the one Marble now runs on.
How Upstash powers Marble
We currently use two of Upstash’s core products in Marble:
Upstash Redis: We use Redis for rate limiting across our public API. This ensures fair usage and prevents abuse, while keeping performance snappy and consistent for every user. Because Upstash Redis is serverless, we don’t have to manage clusters or worry about scaling.
Upstash QStash: QStash powers our webhooks system, which allows external services to receive real-time updates from Marble. With built-in retries, scheduling, and message deduplication, QStash makes sure every webhook is delivered reliably — even when external endpoints are temporarily unavailable.
This integration has made our system more resilient, scalable, and developer-friendly — all while keeping operations simple and cost-efficient.
Roundup
We’re grateful to the Upstash team for their support and contribution to Marble. Their products have made a real difference in how we build and scale features. If you’re working on a modern web or edge-native app, we highly recommend checking them out at upstash.com.
